New comic! The "Border Patrol" segment is back with a vengeance, as promised.

Sorry I didn't get this out last week. Sometimes there are more important things in life than drawing comics, and last week was definitely full of those things. But I'm back now with more awkward bookstore conversations. I'll wrap up this second bookstore mini-arc next week, then move back into your regularly scheduled comics. Barring any new Unexpected Life Events, we should be able to get back into a weekly routine from now on. Fingers crossed, friends.

Arise, Comic, Arise

Holy crap there's a new comic!



I finally got a chance to sit down and re-download all my art software, rework all my color palettes, and re-configure all my pattern swatches. (I'm combining these words semi-randomly, but just pretend I know what I'm talking about.) And now "Noses Off!" has returned! Ain't you just tickled pink?

I was gonna do a "We're back!" comic last week, but then life kept snapping at my heels, so it didn't happen... and then this weekend was Super Bowl Sunday, so it just made the most sense to skip the Return of the Comic comic and just move right into the topical stuff. Huzzah! This week, Rihga lets her inner "sports" fan take over. As she do.

Next week... well, remember that "Border Patrol" comic I did about how Rihga couldn't find a new bookstore? Yup, that was supposed to be a 3-4 part saga, but High Thievery prevented me from finishing it back in November. So Rihga's epic quest will continue, slightly out of order, next week. Hey, better late than never, right?

Hullo all,

Since it's been over a month since I posted, I figured I'd give everyone an update on the Hiatus-ness of NoCommas. Good news: I'm getting a new tablet laptop. Bad news: I'm not getting it until Christmas. So I probably won't start posting comics again until the new year. Possibly a bit later than that, depending on how long it takes me to set up my new art programs and whatnot. Two-month break, For The Lose.

But I do intend to be back with a vengeance after that. 'Cause, y'know... I've totally been storing up comic scripts... I totally haven't been sitting on my ass moping about my stolen shit this whole time... Totally.

See you in 2012, friends. Let's hope it's a better year for NoCommas and a worse year for thieves the whole world over.

Important announcement:

Some jackasses burgled my apartment last week. Long story short, the comic's going on hiatus because I currently don't have anything I can draw it on. Hopefully I can get that remedied soon, but... insurance... and money... and finding new art software again...

It's been a trying week, to say the least. I'll try to keep you posted as developments unfold.

I posted on Monday! Just so's ya know.

Like I said last week, this is sort of based on a true story. The pharmacy is a harsh mistress. Not entirely sure that phrase works here, but still. Harsh. And mistress-y.

Next week is a bit of a follow-up to the past three, though only in a vague sense. Suffice to say my characters are just a little bit fed up with all the abuse I've been putting them through over the past few months. Protests will likely follow.
