tr Feb. 8, 2010: There's an App for This One tr
Not a lot to say about this week's comic. It's pretty much just my life since classes started. My friends lured me onto Farmville with the promise of an adopted penguin. I still don't have a penguin (those sneaky bastards), but I'm a Level 24 Farmer who just purchased a shiny new tool shed because I'm trying to get the architect blue ribbon. I should probably be ashamed of myself for saying all that, but you know, I'm really not. Now I just need to figure out why my real-life carrot crop won't grow in 12 hours... maybe I should ask my neighbors to fertilize them for me.

...I should probably go before I make an even bigger nerd of myself, huh?

tr Feb. 2, 2010: Lord Gideon's Groove tr
Part 2 (of 2) of "Bad Romance" just got posted, so everyone go check it out. And yes, for the curious, of course the title is a reference to the Lady Gaga song. I dunno what it's like in the rest of the nation, but where I live, they play that song about once every 20 minutes on the radio. I can't decide if that's a good thing or a bad thing... I'm a little ashamed to admit it, but I kinda love that damn song.

Anyway, Johnny's romance novel reaches its climax this week (you see what I did there? Yeah you did). A fitting way to begin the month of February, I figure. Both Real Johnny and I hope that you enjoy what we think is the greatest sex scene ever written, and a huge thanks to Roommate Daren for providing this week's punchline. It's good to have friends you can steal jokes from.

tr Jan. 18, 2010: Ninja Theatre 2: Electric Boogaloo tr
I decided to go ahead and just run out the old backlog so the comic quality wouldn't jump back and forth between the old art program and the new one anymore. I'm still drawing new ones (or at least trying to - my funny seems to have flown South for the winter), so I'm creating a new back log as I go, I guess. Anyway, this is another installment in Ninja Theatre, where we learn that ninja, like boy scouts, always come prepared.

tr Jan. 11, 2010: Baby's New Tablet tr
The new comic might look just a shade prettier than the others, because your friendly neighborhood artist finally found a program that she loves so much she could probably take it out behind the middle school and let it get her pregnant (oh, 30 Rock, your hilarious lines follow me everywhere). I've been playing with Manga Studio 4, and I think you can tell by the smooth brush strokes that I'm getting along with it very nicely. I'm still having some issues with the color features, but I should have those ironed out by the next comic.

Anyway, this week's is based on a semi-true story. It's a long 'un, which is why I decided to draw it this week. I figured it would give me plenty of time to toy around with the new program and see how I liked it. And now that the Seal of Approval has been given - on to the next comic! It's so nice to be excited about drawing webcomics again. ^_^

tr Jan. 4, 2010: Incompatible Items tr
Last week's comic was brand spankin' new, but this week's is from the backlog, partly because I was so irritated at the poor quality of last week's comic that I haven't been able to motivate myself enough to make another low-quality comic. So yeah, in case you couldn't tell, I'm still toying around with the Trial Versions of different paint programs and trying to find one that doesn't make me want to vomit choppy pixels (...that may have made more sense in my head). I'm almost out of backlog, though, so pretty soon I'll be forced to pick a program and start scribblin' chibis again. I'm sure I'll have something figured out by next week, though. For now, at least, you can learn important lessons about what two enjoyable activities you should try not to merge together - especially when your apartment has thin walls.

tr Dec. 23, 2009: Not Yet Dead tr
Just wanted to pop in and assure everyone that I haven't died, nor has my computer gotten into some kind of Terrible Accident. Due to a combination of Finals Madness and Christmas Mayhem, I decided to take a 2-week holiday from comicking so I could get real-life stuff taken care of. If this were my full-time job I assure you there would have been comics regardless, but it's not, so school and the paying kind of work take priority. This also gives me a chance to play around with my tablet and find some slightly better art software for it, since the stuff I'm using is about 8 years old and my new computer is a little too fast to run it properly. I'll be back next week with the promised Dragon Age comic, and I intend to keep the updates regular again at least until the next week of finals rolls around.
